The Museum of the Villages of Carpegna collects artefacts that introduce the visitor to discover history, traditions, nature and art of the fifteen villages that make up Carpegna. Housed in the former church of Castacciaro, this unusual museum creates an uncommon tactile, visual, sounding and olfactory path that tells of the secrets and stories of these villages scattered on Mount Carpegna. The Museum of the Villages also houses a scale model of Carpegna and important pieces such as a fourteenth century bell and stone work, emerged during the restoration of the ancient Fortress of Carpegna, now missing, originally built on the spur of rock overlooking the Palace of the Princes.
