Moretti House in Cesenatico still remembers the life and work of the insignia poet and writer Marino Moretti. He was born in 1885 e died in 1979 in Cesenatico.
The house, which overlooks the harbor, was donated to the Municipality of Cesenatico by the poet’s sister, Ines, ideally interpreting the will of his brother who had already made a will at the public library of its own books and autographs. Moretti House, inside which are still the original furniture, has thus become the seat of an important center of studies of twentieth-century literature that promotes study and research. The Moretti Association has organized cultural activities of prestige, such as the Biennial Prize for philology, history and criticism of the nineteenth and twentieth century Italian literature, which is held every year in October. Moretti House is a house-museum that offers visitors a chance to discover not only the work of Marino Moretti, but also his human figure. The opening hours vary throughout the year; before visiting Moretti House, it is always better to contact the 79 279 0547 to verify the opening hours.
