The Municipal Theatre of Cesenatico is a beautiful example of neo-classical which facade is animated by a high wainscot and continuous bands, up to a string course on which are grafted elegant decorative pilasters with Ionic capitals and bases. Inside, the structure is typical of the Italian theater, with the horseshoe auditorium, a large central hall, on which there are two orders of 15 boxes each, including the one next to the stage and the gallery. The old curtain represented the Duke Valentino in conference with Leonardo Da Vinci; later it was rebuilt, but the worst damage was during the Second World War. Located in the historic center, on the west shore of the harbor channel, was designed by Engineer Candido Panzani and built in just 2 years between 1863 and 1865. After a long restoration, the Municipal Theatre of Cesenatico was reopened in 1992 and since then, every year offers a rich theatrical season with performances of drama, music festivals, dialect comedy and many other artistic and cultural events.
