The Skyscraper of Cesenatico is a symbol of this city and of its modern times, but represents also the desire to experience the new of this country, well known only for its beaches and not enough for its architectural wealth. In Costa Square you will find the 35-story skyscraper, that includes 33 residential floors and developed an overall height of approximately 113 meters. Built in 1958 by the engineer Berardi, the building consists of three parts: the first one is composed by a three-storeys seaside front, originally conceived as a hotel and later became the residence; the second one is composed by 7 floors on the waterfront and the third one, the highest part, consists of a 33 floors tower (at the time of its construction was the tallest building in Europe). However it is not possible to visit the building because it is reserved for a residential use. Between 2004 and 2009 have been made major restoration and consolidation of the supporting structures, as well as a revitalization of the facades, covered with porcelain tiles with shades of gray, blue and blue.
